Google Drive

Google Drive is a file storage and synchronization service created and managed by Google. It allows users to store documents in the cloud, share files, and edit documents with collaborators. It includes Docs (a word processing program), Sheets (a spreadsheet program), Slides (a presentation program), and Forms (allows you to create forms such as surveys that people can fill out). In addition to the above, you can upload many different file types such as images, audio and video files, and so on. Google drive lets you access them anywhere and on anything that can access the internet. A google account is free and can turn offline documents into an online version.

Google drive is an easy way to share and collaborate on documents and projects. This is especially important for businesses because instead of having to collect 4 different documents to compare notes, all 4 people can access and comment on the document online. This saves time, energy, and resources. Time, energy, and resources all add up to money in a business so essentially google drive will save businesses money.

Google Drive also provides for social needs. It offers Google+ which is Real-life Sharing and rethought for the web, Groups where you can create mailing lists and discussion groups, Blogger where you can share your life online with a blog, and Hangouts which is an app that makes conversations “come to life” anytime, anywhere, and for free.

The biggest complaint people have about Google Drive is that it’s a Google product. This is because people are afraid of the privacy of their saved files and they suspect that their data will not be kept safe and secret. In order to serve you targeted ads, Google “reads” your Gmail, watches your search history, and collects other information to serve you targeted ads. This made users nervous that Google would reap all it could from Google Drive, too.
